New books, violin performance and new swimming pool

I had ordered a few books a few months ago in a spree and I finally got round to collecting it (or actually the lady decided to send it by post to me...). Anyway, I got them and was very very glad that I had ordered them. Love the book by Soulemama... it is time to re-organise the children's room.

Last night, Ash had a violin performance... not solo though. Her teacher had orgainised an informal performance of all his students. Ash did not want to join in at the beginning and because of this performance, she also almost gave up on the journey of learning this instrument. However, her teacher told her that she was doing very well and should just go and enjoy the night.

Well, she went and threw a little tantrum at the beginning but after awhile she was alright. Then she started to make a few friends and sort of went a little out of hand. Anyway, the performance went quite well. Although, there is one particular song that she got lost but I think she did well enough.

This is her in the afternoon rehearsing.

And this is her in the evening doing the actual thing.

This morning, it was swimming at our newly opened swimming pool that is a few blocks away. Her formal swimming coach decided to start lesson for her and another girl at this new pool this morning ... so off we went to the pool at 8 a.m.

Aver and Ash seemed to enjoyed themselves despite the cold waters. I like the pool too and most importantly, it is near home. Since it is a Saturday, the pool is crowded!

The pool at about 8.30 a.m.

Aver enjoying it before her lesson.

Aver soaking in the fun.

And the last few show Aver as the boss ...

That pool looks amazing! I wish we had something like that close by ;-)

I have to tell you how happy I am with my red shopping-bag, the one you sent me. I carry it with me in my purse every day, and I use it so much!! I haven't carried my purchases in the not-so-pretty-or-environmentally-friendly plasticbags...I have my very own beautiful re-useable fabric-bag! Thank you so much, I think of you and send you a smile every time I use it -so every day :-D
