For Aver, I cut out a heart on construction paper and let her cut paper scraps tp stick on the big heart. This allow her to learn scissors skill.
For Ash, I followed Martha Stewart's napkin heart dollies. She had difficulty trying to cut through the thick layers. When she saw the final product, she was very happy. She found the little piece and opened it up. She exclaimed,"Mummy, look! It's a flower!" So I guess she was happy with her craft.

wat kind of scissors u let Aver use?
normal scissors cos i got fed up of those safety scissors. cannot cut properly. and she gets frustrated too.
