250th Post!

There... I made it to my 250th blog post here.
It is a big thing to me as that is quite a lot of posts and plus I have good good news to share.

Superpig's job is confirmed. He is reporting next Monday.
Really, this whole month we live day to day base on simple faith on our Almighty Father.
He has blessed us and really I think there are more we can do for Him.
He had provided us with abundant blessing and we, on the other hand, fall short of His expectations.
And remember my little giveway...go leave a comment in THIS POST to play along.

Fresh morning, fresh flowers

Today, we resumed our morning walk and we found more tiny blooms along the way.

And this last one, is our orchid blooming. It has always been a long long wait for their beautiful blooms.

Something to brighten up your day

I was dragged out of the house by Superpig this morning for breakfast and am totally not happy about it. Lousy mood...
Anyway, after breakfast, spotted these little things growing along the bushes and my day got brightened up.
Enjoy them too...

Korean Spicy Rice Cake

ALL GONE!

Sorry... was not meant to be mean but I could not resist.

Superpig knows my love for Japanese and Korean food and never fails to allow me to induldge in them once in a while.
I had this particular Korean recipe book and was yearning to make my own kimchi... ooohhhh... I can eat up a whole bowl of it mixed with rice....yummy!
So he drove me to a particular Korean supermarket to get the necessary stuff but it lack a few items.
Then, I do a search on the ever-so-well-informed internet and found other Korean supermarkets and there is one situated at where he needed to be, so off we went this afternoon.
I got all my stuff and am ready for my kimchi making stunt... but since it will take awhile to process the cabbage I put it on hold till tomorrow.
But as I watched a Korean drama on the TV, I cannot concentrate... the rice cakes are calling me.
Hence, I abandoned the drama and went to try out the recipe for the Korean Spicy Rice Cake.
Once that was done, I enjoyed it with the drama... and totally forgot to take a photo of the dish itself before I gobbled it up!
YUMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 Crochet Sun Hat

One for Aver and one for Ash...

My precious gifts from God.

Sunset - 04 May 2008

Following the post on sunsets yesterday, this evening I got a chance to take photos of yet another beautiful sunset.

Superpig insisted that the sun will be hidden by dark clouds as the evening sky looked kind of downcast. I, on the other hand, think otherwise and held on tight to my camera as we drove towards home.

Ha... the sun did not fail me ...

Enjoy...

And I have to show you my Super Hero... Superpig ... he specially drove into a car park that had a clear view of the setting sun for me to capture more photographs.

Sunsets

I know there are people who like the view of sunrise.
For me, I prefer sunset to sunrise.
However, deep within me, I love them both... just that if I need to choose, I will choose sunset.
Here are some photographs I took of the sunset on various evenings.

So are you a sunset or a sunrise person?

So sad...

Remember this?

It was infected by some unknown white bug and we had to dispose it.
This particular gerbana had been faithfully blooming one after another.
It had faithfully brightened up our little corridor.
It had always been a joy to see the orange blooms when we were on the way out of the house and also when we came home.
It had always been a joy to see a new bud sprouting.
Alas, it is now gone.
Will we get another pot?
Should we get another pot?

Crochet Sun Hat

I crochet a sun hat for Aver and am doing another for Ash.

Can't wait to have the both of them wearing it together when we go out into the sun.

However, I do have a problem trying to keep the hat on Aver's head...she will pull it off!

The longest she had a hat on her head was around 5 minutes.

The next time, you will see both girls with similar hats on!

Wild Wild Wet - 1 May 2008

Since Ash had been doing very well with both her English and Chinese spelling, we had decided that she needed to be rewarded. So, we brought her to Wild Wild Wet, it was somewhere she wanted to go too.

Off we went today... and I had a strained neck and shoulder so it was sort of a painful trip. Eventhough, I did enjoy myself and so did the two little girls.

I will not go on about the events of the day here as Ash had blogged about it too. So you can read more about it HERE
