My Crafting Till Now

I thought I should do a list of all the crafty things that I had done since years ago.

I started with cross stitches but have been neglecting it.
I had tried some Precious Moments designs but I have no idea where they went.
And for those projects that I had completed, I did not frame them up as there was no place for them to be hung up.
These were done some seven to ten years ago.

Then I tried my hands on sewing and started with quilting.
I made a blanket for Aver and then I planned another for Ash.
Although all the blocks had been cut I have yet to sew them yet.
It has been coming to a year.

I moved on to appliques... I did a few bibs for Aver and a few more for friends' babies last Christmas.

After that I started to learn to sew for my two little girls.

I think I did sew a few more but I just do not have any photos to show...

Mental note to myself...take more photos!

Next I tried to sew a blouse for myself but it did not work out.

So there is definitely no photos to show at all.

Then there is the halter top I sewed for Pam.

There are other bits and pieces of things I have done.

Hair clips... or barrettes.

I am starting on another batch and this time I used ribbon embroidery and thread embroidery as designs.

There were also grocery bags.

Tissue cozies...

Diaper bags

There are crocheting too.

I have a lot of craft supplies sitting in my storeroom waiting for me to turn them into something nice.

Soon... my friends... soon.

All ready for the postman

I believe you still remember these HAIR CLIPS

Thank you for participating in my very first give away.
Thank you also for visiting my blog.

Still waiting for one more person to get in touch with me.

Please let me know if periodic give aways are good or a bad deal?

Talking about spoilt rotten...

I mentioned in my PREVIOUS POST about Superpig spoiling us rotten and I shall show you how.

I have always love Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars, My Melody and others. So when I saw cookie moulds and egg moulds with these characters I cannot resist. I had purchased quite a few over the online auction site and have yet to use them yet. However, when I see more of such products, I cannot resist.

Hence, I bought more!

Total damages = $51 plus a sulking Superpig (for about 20 minutes only)

At the end of the day, I know he allowed me to buy these items because he loves us.

THANK YOU, SUPERPIG!

Three of a kind

Here's another digital scrapbook layout.

There are three female in this house... actually four, if we consider out pet chinchilla too.

Three of us enjoy "bullying" our super hero just because we love him very much.

Three of us have the same kind of temperment that drives our super hero up the wall.

Three of us simply love to be pampered by super hero and he does spoil us rotten.

"Lub" you Superpig!

Light bulb moment...

Okay... I finally understood why my blog is not as "busy" like others.

The reasons...

1) No focus... I blog about everything, from my little crafting projects to the littlest thing that may happen around me.

2) My crafting projects...LIMITED! Take at look at the others'... I am amazed at how they are able to complete so many projects in such short period of time.

3) Lousy photos... I truly need to take pictures in better light. Plus, if you noticed all the pictures are dark and indoors. Where is the beauty of the nature... hmmm... I live in a flat... where can I go to find nature.

Seriously, I truly love the crafters' blog... so many ideas, so many interesting things to see.

Do I want to change this particular blog to one mainly for crafts?

Not really because I enjoy blogging about almost everything that happened around me.

It is really very much like my diary.

Maybe, I can have a separate one just for my crafting projects?

Good idea but I already have three (actually four) to manage and really cannot find much time to have another separate one.

So ... too bad.

There ... I understood already and since I cannot start another blog, I think I just work on the photographs.

So I will leave you with this nice photo.

Still loving each other to bits...

In a rather lousy mood today with no idea why.
So I decided to do something nice that does not require me to bring out any tools that may cause harm to the little princess.
So I finally did a digital scrapbook layout ... after a super long holiday from it.

Note to self...

Seriously, need to organise the digital stuff so that can give credits.

Tuesday Toot #1

This is my first time doing this so please forgive me if I am not doing it good enough.
Well, I guess I can give myself a pat on the back for learning to cook.
I got married at 24 years old and at the beginning years of the marriage we lived with my mother-in-law.
There I did not have to do anything at all as she has a domestic helper.
Cooking, housework, laundry... I did not have to do at all ... not even to tidy our desk.
So I concentrated on my work...teaching.
After two years of "doing nothing", we finally got our own home.
When we moved, I was also pregnant with my first princess ... I was tired and hence dinners were settled outside.
When my princess, Ash, was borned, we continued eating dinner out as my husband (lovingly called Superpig here) felt that being a SAHM can be rather daunting for me and would want to reduce the stress by not having me cook.
Ash quickly learned that when the sky turned dark, it was time to go out and she would throw a terrible tantrum when we did not.
We realised that it was not a very good idea to eat out all the time as the food can be rather oily and salty.
So I started to learn to cook simple dishes with the steamer.
I started with steamed fish and boiled vegetables.
6 years later, I dare say that I am a better cook then before.
I started learning to bake about two years ago and totally enjoyed it.
However, baking is not something I can do frequently as I do not really eat my own bakes no matter how good Superpig said it was.
I also started to learn to do frying and deep frying because I was and still am terrified of the splattering oil.
I also become more adventurous in the way I combined the ingredients and come up with new dishes.
However, I am still a rather lazy cook ... I only choose to cook dishes that can be eaily completed in less than 20 minutes.
Still, I have managed to feed my Superpig and princesses without poisoning them
That to me is an achievement.

Someone's new blouse

Honeymeow, a good friend, a good supporter of my crafts challenged me to make her a halter neck blouse.
So here it is... me modelling it.
I want to see it on the person myself...sure very sexy.

However, I have to admit that the stitches are not very well done.

It is also because the fabric is kind of difficult to handle.

See from far can, don't go and examine it close up.

Terminal 3 - 1st March 2008

Finally, we managed to find some time to make a trip down to the airport to view the new terminal.

I must say that the place is nice, with ample space for the kiddos to run about, various resturants to suit different taste buds, nice shops to go window shopping in.

Well, at least there is one that Superpig cannot resist and he had to go on in and find his favourite. And no, he does not indulge in them much, he counts his carbo intake to ensure that he does not exceed what he requires for the day.

I brought out my old friend, Canon 350D ... how I miss it so. And I went snapping away at the princesses, Superpig and my wonderful mum.

Surprisingly, my mum allowed me to take her pictures. She usually runs away when the camera is whipped out...camera shy... Actually not true, you should see how she posed for my dad long time ago.
(One of these days, will scan her hip photographs and upload it.)

Then Ash sort of went crazy running around and making me dizzy trying to snap pictures of her.

As for Aver, I made the mistake of bringing her out of the pram. Once her feet touched the ground, she refused to be carried or to be back in the pram. She wanted to walk. And so, she walked and she tumbled and she continued to walk and tumble but she was happy.

Superpig and myself ... we tried out different angles of taking each others' pictures.

Dinner was at Popeyes... since a few friends had mentioned how good the food is. And the first thing Ash said was," Daddy, are we eating here... at pop eyes?"

Yup, it was pronounced as "pop" and "eyes" not popeye...and I don't blame her as she has not been exposed to the good old cartoon of "Popeye the Sailorman".

The food may be nice but we would not say the same for the wait. Superpig queued for almost 20 minutes before he got to the counter. Once at the counter, I think he waited for another 10 minutes for the food to be served onto the trays. By the time he reached our table, he was fuming mad and totally not in the mood for any of my jokes or attempts to snap a few pictures of the food and the hungry diners.

I would dare say that the trip there was quite fun and the princesses did enjoy themselves lots. They slept in the car on the journey home and once they reached home and were cleaned up, they went back to dreamland fast.
